Carlos, was born in the city of xalapa, veracruz, grew up in the tiny village of san juan xiutetelco in the state of puebla, where he quickly developed a fascination with history and archeaology.  from the age of 8 he often did his homework perched atop one of the seven pyramids found in the area, the most significant one being the pyramid found right in his family’s back yard.
knowing the history and traditions of the ancient mesoamerican peoples, it was in this same place that carlos recognized the truth of the book of mormon and converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints only one week after  talking with the missionaries. Between 2004 and 2006 he served a full time in the mexico-torreon mission, where his performance as a missionary was outstanding, and  where he gained an in-depth understanding of the book of mormon.
 
He Is Married To Dayana Petlacalco, And They Are The Parents Of Two Beautiful Little Children, Pahoran And Camry. As part of his academic training he has studied history, art history, ethnography, archeology and anthropology.  He is a federal tourism guide whose specialty is giving professional, scholarly explanations of the history of the mesoamerican peoples.  In particular he works with members of the LDS  community visiting the ruins in chichen itza, coba, ek balam, tulum, uxmal, muyil, becan, kabah, labna, and many other archeological sites on the mayan coast, such as dzibanche, kinich na, kohunlich and chaacchoben, while these visitors are based in tourism areas such as playa del carmen, cancun, the riviera maya, and the mayan zone.
in church, Currently he serves as the Elder's quorum president for his ward,
Carlos Speaks Fluent English, Italian And Spanish. He has also worked on documentaries as the leading explorer for Cancun's Channel, Mexico Travel Channel and Discovery Mexico.


The Luxury travel Magazine, launched their america's edition, on which they selected an expert on from different turistic poles.
